"Surviving the Holidays” is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays with hurts, habits, and hang-ups, after the death of a loved one, or after a separation or divorce. The seminar will be held on Sunday, November 6, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Lafayette, 1100 Lee Avenue. There’s no charge for this event.
The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays following a crisis. Topics to be discussed include “Why the Holidays Are Tough,” “What to Expect,” “How to Prepare,” “How to Manage Relationships and Holiday Socials” and “Using the Holidays to Help You Heal.”
